Terms and Conditions


A non-refundable deposit equivalent to the cost of one night’s accommodation is required to secure your reservation.


Guests are reminded that a reservation is a legally binding contract. We strongly recommend you insure against the possibility of cancellation.  In the event of a cancellation we will make all reasonable efforts to re-let the accommodation, but if this fails guests are respectfully reminded that they are liable for the costs incurred. Where the guest gives credit or debit card details in order to make payment of a deposit it is agreed between the parties that in the event of cancellation the guesthouse may debit the guest’s credit or debit card with the full amount of the cancellation charge less an allowance for any deposit or payment already received.

The guesthouse reserves the right to cancel a booking forthwith without liability on its part in the event of damage or destruction to the guesthouse by fire or other causes, or any other cause beyond the control of the guesthouse which shall prevent it from performing its obligations in connection with any booking. In such an event the guesthouse will refund the deposit made but will have no further liability to the guest.


Please note that full balance of payment is due on arrival and can be made in cash or by debit or credit card. There is a 2% surcharge on credit cards.  We accept Mastercard, Visa, Electron, Maestro, JCB, and Solo.


Arrival time is by prior arrangement. Check out time is 10.00 am on day of departure and applies both to the rooms and car park.


A car parking space is allocated on arrival and guests are requested to use only their own allocated space throughout their stay. Although every reasonable care is taken the guesthouse does not take any responsibility regarding any loss or damage to guests’ property or vehicles.


Please report all damage and breakages to the guesthouse. If a guest leaves the guesthouse without reporting damage and breakages then the guesthouse reserves the right to invoice the guest for the full cost or repair or replacement following departure.


For the comfort of our guests, and as a legal requirement, Westcliff has a strict ‘No Smoking’ policy throughout the premises.

PETS:  We are very sorry but we do not accept pets.


When enquiring about accommodation, please tell us of any special needs or requirements you may have so that we may advise on the suitability of the rooms we offer.


Guests are requested to bring their own towels to use for the beach or for swimming.
